Craving the familiar taste of home, H.P. and Bessa decided to take matters into their own hands and turn this problem into an opportunity.

Confined to their home and missing the flavors of South Africa, H.P. and Bessa began experimenting with coriander seeds and other ingredients to craft the perfect Biltong. What started as a small home project quickly grew into a solution for many. They realized they could not only satisfy their own cravings but also meet a growing demand among fellow expats and local residents.

The journey of creating Aitch's Biltong began with a simple concept: the "H" in Hendrik Petrus, H.P.'s name, became the inspiration for their brand. Little did they know that this initial idea would lead to the first Biltong manufacturer in Hong Kong. With their new venture, they introduced not only Biltong but also Droëwors and Chilli Bites, adding variety to their offerings.

As word spread, the demand for their products grew rapidly. Recognizing the need to scale up, H.P. and Bessa partnered with Keith Lam, a fourth-generation Hong Kong family business owner. Keith played a crucial role in setting up their factory, navigating the local market, and bringing valuable insights to the team.

Together, they established a fully operational processing facility, the first of its kind in Hong Kong. This state-of-the-art factory enabled Aitch's Biltong to produce Biltong, Droëwors, and Chilli Bites locally, ensuring freshness and authenticity. Their commitment to quality and natural ingredients quickly earned them a loyal following.
